Word sound - sound word

From words to music and back again
The course addresses singers, regardless of genre, as well as dancers and actors - they all tell a story based on their crafts and skills. An important part of these stories is told with words. The analysis of these words brings us to a deeper understanding of the role. It helps us to create a more differentiated version of our song, our aria. Gestures and facial expressions, expression and vocal design thus become a harmonious unity.

A composer has consciously chosen the rhythm and for a good reason arranged the notes in this way. The basis can be found in the libretto, in the lyrics, in the text. Text work and musical work are two sides of the same coin.

The aim of the course is to recognize these connections in order to be able to use them for a more intensive, well-founded interpretation. Classical craftsmanship as well as contemporary exercises are used to concentrate on the core of the statement, to expose the emotions and conflicts of the texts and the music - to support a timeless, i.e. modern approach to interpretation.
