  • 2002 - 2003: Studies at the Musikhochschule Trossingen with Prof. Tomislav Baynov (classical piano)
  • 2003 - 2004: Studies abroad at the California State University, Long Beach/Los Angeles as part of an exchange program with Prof. Cecilia Coleman (Jazz piano) and Prof. Craig Richey (classical piano)
  • 2004 - 2008: Studies at the University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy” Leipzig with Prof. Richie Beirach (Jazz piano) and Prof. Josef Christof (classical piano), minor subject in jazz violin taken with Prof. Thomas Prokein, diploma awarded with distinction in June 2008
  • 2008 - 2012: Master’s in Jazz piano at the Conservatory of Vienna Private University with Oliver Kent and Aaron Wonesch, as well as a Bachelor’s in Jazz composition with Andy Middleton, Master of Arts awarded with distinction in October 2012

Work Experience 

  • Numerous performances with the Benjamin Schatz Trio, Benjamin Schatz Quartett, Jazzista (Gina Schwarz Unit feat. Jim Black and Gina Schwarz), Baynov Piano-Ensemble et al. 
  • Undertaking responsibilities as musical director, piano player and accompanist for various productions at the Volkstheater Vienna, as well as for cabaret and song nights.  
  • Local and overseas tours (USA, Korea, Singapur, Taiwan, China, etc.)
  • 2011: Selected for the series "Jazz thing - next Generation" as well as for the “Ö1-Talentbörse”
  • 2008: Recipient of the Hauptförderpreis Award at the international Jazzmeeting "Generations 2008" in Frauenfeld, Switzerland 
  • 2004: Awarded 1st Prize at the Concerto Competition at the California State University, USA
  • 2000: Awarded 1st Price at the International Music Competition of the Val Tidone in Pianello, Italy

  • 2010 - 2015: Annual master courses at the International Piano Academy Marktoberdorf and at the International Piano Academy Hammelburg as well as having gave master classes in Taipei (2013), Taichung (2013), Daegu (2013 and 2014), Seoul (2014) and Hongkong (2014)
  • Since 2012: Lecturing at the "Vienna Music Institute" (private conservatory with public status)
