Mission and Philosophy
International Academy of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (AMP) is committed to modern artistic and pedagogical training paths in which interdisciplinarity plays a central role. The newly created departments are designed to create a top-level offering in the fields of classical music, jazz, pop and rock, as well as cross-genre musical theater training (musical dance, performance).
Flexible curricula allow for project-based, practice-oriented study, with reflection playing a central role in guiding these projects.
National and international cooperations ensure that the education provides orientation in relevant professional fields of artistic and educational practice, in particular also in music and art-making processes (composition, production, directing, dramaturgy, choreography ect.).
The curricula are designed to provide a framework of scholastic and personal autonomy while allowing freedom for flourishing individual and cultural diversity among students at AMP. Quality assurance measures have been adopted from JAM MUSIC LAB Private University. The AMP thus signals its claim to the highest possible quality also in the teaching of its diploma programs. In the orientation of educational policy at the Vienna location, AMP would like to make a valuable contribution to the education of future generations of music makers, music teachers and representatives of the performing arts.
